I have been working at 3D Systems

Pros

I've worked at a few manufacturing / technology companies and 3D is one of the best. They're trying to turn their corporate image around, and I think they're doing a pretty good job. They are loaded with bright, energetic people. Senior management is on the ball, and they make work-life balance a part of their decision-making process. They are loaded with cutting-edge technology, optimism, and a solid work ethic.

Cons

Communication can lag at times. The internal groups need to do a better job of communicating between themselves. This probably stems from the diversified offerings and the fast-paced nature of the business. Employee desktop and laptop computers are due for a refresh. The economy played a major role with heavy internal cost-cutting, but the company is strong, and heading in the right direction.

New laptops please :)

    I have been working at 3D Systems full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Amazing people, I am happy working with, they are all very committed and nice to work with

    Cons

    Everybody is unhappy.
    Everything is slow and old fashion, takes days to get approvals and everything has to be printed and filed. papers all over the place it's annoying especially as nowadays it is easy to store on share drives.
    Company keeps making profits but they are not looking after their employees. No benefits at all and they expect you to make crazy hours.

    act like a modern company and look after you employees.

    I worked at 3D Systems full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Seriously nothing, I can Say Technology is good but Management think they are the only Company, Management = Company, so at the end have to say worst Company.

    Cons

    Management think Management = Company in 3DSystem India, So Employees are treated like Slaves.
    No benefits to Employees, Indian Politician's are better then Management in 3DSystem India.
    Management seek their own Profit "only" and Employee can not Question them and if at all ask then you are blacklisted.....
    High level of Politics going on....
    Career path not clear, High level of Frustration among Employees .
    I would always tell anyone who ask me about Company Please don't join or else you all end up in mess and frustration....
    the list could go on...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus more on your own Management First instead of acquiring companies. Please don't mislead Candidates who comes for Interview and also to Employees by giving them False Promises. Whatever Picture Management shows to Higher Management in US is only and only to their own benefits and not for Employee benefits. Do you communicate with your employees(Sincerely)? Have you sat down and created a plan for their growth within the company? Has that plan been implemented after sign-off? If a manager doesn’t take the time to know his employee and foster growth(and not just pretending), people will feel unappreciated and Frustrated. Do you know what unappreciated people do? They walk., and who ever are there working only for some or the other problem and not because of Company.
    Remember Employee do not leave Company but Management......
