    I have been working at Aéropostale full-time

    Pros

    Love the people, more relaxed atmosphere, have a work life balance, great discount

    Cons

    Target customer is not who wants to shop at Aero, NEVER enough payroll (20 hours for a full floorset doesn't cut it) and always told to cut, constant and confusing promo changes drive us mad, Aero was more successful before they tried to be more like AE and hollister.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't expect stores to look perfect with such skimpy payroll, Dayforce is more trouble than it's worth, and high volume stores can't possibly give great customer service with all the tasking that needs done. Give the stores proper payroll!

    Awesome for sales associates, not so much for managers.

    I have been working at Aéropostale full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Mentoring high school kids on responsibility and teamwork, Most managers are willing to work at other stores when needed, Decent pay compared to most clothing retailers; Charity-oriented company;

    Cons

    Takes way too long to be promoted within this company, because they would rather recruit from competitors and pay them less; Store managers do not make overtime, so they are expected to work 60-70 hours a week to get things done without going over on payroll; Given too many projects from corporate with no extra hours to get it done

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire more from within instead of making managers wait 10-15 years to manage their own store; Give extra hours for the constant marketing and promo changes; More hours for floorsets
