Expectations are too high for employees since the company doesn't give enough scheduled hours to each store. Always understaffed. Employees started at bottom of pay-scale and pay is non-competitive. Time-off requests aren't usually followed through from management and employees get a "write up" when they don't show up to work after filling out a time-off request and telling upper management they cannot work on a certain day. Most employees are unhappy because help is spread so thin.
Advice to Senior Management
This company seriously needs to reevaluate how stores are run. I'm am appalled that the store manager at my store lies directly to district managers, telling them what they want to hear, without following through on promises for change to employees.
