Rate of pay is competitive with other retailers. Benefits are competitive with other retailers. Required work schedule is competitive with other retailers.
Cons
Budgeted payroll work hours are insufficient to execute required tasks and provide good customer service. Intitiatives sent down from corporate office are poorly planned and unrealistic. Too much of the capital budget spent on pet projects while basic systems like POS are antiquated and neglected.
Advice to Senior Management
Put more payroll into the stores to provide the customer service that will keep customers coming back. Focus more on sales and merchandise.
