Pros

Very intelligent coworkers. A good variety of work is available, but good luck getting on the projects you want to work on.

Cons

Lack of control over the type of projects you complete. Hours depend on the project and who you are reporting to, but generally long hours with some managers expecting you to work over the weekend. Consultants are expected to work at the client site 4 days a week which leads to unnecessary travel at points during the project.

Advice to Senior Management

Practice what you preach. Give employees more control over their careers in terms of the type of projects they get staffed on and improving work/life balance.
