Pros

Management is genuinely appreciative of a job well done. The corporate culture is becoming increasingly more competitive, but hard work is recognized, if only because management is being expected to perform just as hard as the people below them.

Cons

Adequate communication from the top can be poor, and the technology you are given in order to complete your job may be several years behind what you would expect. This contributes to the company's inability to react quickly in a marketplace that demands a much higher level of coordination and dexterity.

Advice to Senior Management

Provide employees the information they need to help them see where they are going, what is needed to get there and what will be gained by completing the objective. Then, give them the tools necessary to reach their goals.
