Pros

Despite what some people here say, the pay is very good for the amount of work and hours required.
Flexible work hours, very accommodating for personal needs and time off
Good benefits, including education reimbursement
Opportunities are available if you want to work for them

Cons

Depending on your role, you can get stuck in a position and find yourself unable to advance
Departments can be cliquey
Lots of egos
Favoritism is blatant
Too many managers for too little staff

Advice to Management

Vice presidents...pay attention to what's going on in your departments.

    Pros

if you like doing nothing all day this job is for you!! The pay was just ok and they have good benefits.

    Cons

I was hired with no insurance license so they paid for me to take a class and get the license. That took about 2 or 3 weeks. After that I was told to sit at a desk and do NOTHING all day. The next traing class was not for another 2 months. every day I went to a different AAA location (Fairfax, Tysons, Fredricksburg) Every day I sat at a different desk and did NOTHING. I was not allowed to talk to customers or talk to anybody for that matter. I sat in silence for 8 hours a day 5 days a week. It was like working in a library. nobody talked to each other and most people were trying to look busy but they wre doing NOTHING also. I just couldnt take it anymore so one day I just quit.

    Advice to Management

If you hire an outgoing sales person let them talk to people.
