Good company but they need to reconsider new agent program to retain talent.

Pros

Good training and support, coworkers and management for the most part are supportive and cordial. Quality product offering.

Cons

New agent hire package and salary/commission program not realistic earnings. If you want to hire and more importantly retain the producers you spend so much time and money training, modify the package. Reward those that are showing high new business numbers and don't penalize them for policy cancellation due to non pay. Aaa is focused on net policy count and due to so many mid term non pay cancellations it is difficult to make your numbers. You could write over 40 policies in one month averaging over $1500 each and still not make your numbers due things totally out of your control as an Agent. As an employee you are required to work "counter". Which takes walk in clients. This is a double edged sword. Good since you have the opportunity to meet new prospects and write business from people who are ready to consider or buy a policy. Bad because the majority of the people you will end up servicing are attempting to get registration renewed through aaa dmv Servicing. They buy policy to renew registration and then don't pay on policy after first billing. So you basically waisted your time and effort by writing the policy, calling to attempt to collect payment and then you are -1 policy the month it cancels. Month prior to holidays you can have over 20 to 30 cancellations. That means you would need to write 50-60 policies just to meet minimum production quotas. Also depending on location the senior reps will have relationships within the office and they tend to get the best qualified referrals.
