I worked at ABB Group as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

They take employee safety very seriously

    Cons

Is not a employee friendly or supportive company with a significant lack of understanding at the top and mid management level of how project management works and therefore there are many misconceptions and bad utilization of the resource.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create a centralized Project Management Office and support structure reporting to people knowledgeable and qualified with years of experience managing PMO offices and PM portfolios, and don't just assign it to whomever is available like a Marketing Director. Preferably someone with years of experience in other companies and industries besides just ABB experience.

This could be a great place to work. But sad to say it's not.

I have been working at ABB Group full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

There are no pros for production workers at the Huntersville NC facility.

    Cons

I have never seen so many unhappy production workers. Every production job I've worked they offer there employee's some kind of raise but they don't here. And they don't tell you until after your hired and you don't here it from HR you here from another Co worker. And there's multiple things like this that they don't mention during the hiring process. You would think a company of this magnitude would tell you about things that are most important to an employee. The average turnover ratio for a employee's leaving a job is 2% But in Huntersville NC it's around 30%
