I worked at ABM Janitorial Services as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Co-workers are mostly good.
Flex schedule if you only need part time $.
Locations are convenient and varied, enjoyable venues.
Flexible hours and days, but only for part time.

    Cons

Too many Latinos that can't/won't speak/understand English.
Zero benefits. No reviews or raises.
    High turnover.
    Only offer independent contractor positions.
    $9-$10/hour.
Hires anyone with I-9 two forms of identification.
    Unpaid breaks and lunch.
Frequent payroll errors, always in the company's favor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maybe this is only in Austin, but crew supervisors should be required to know English.
Implement a formal employee review process that's unbiased and reward workers with bonus if you can't raise pay.
Eliminate front line supervisors, they pass their duties off to new hires and do nothing.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
