Pros

Good people to work with in the ranks.

Cons

No strategy, no planning, no budgets, no resources. Employees are seen as little more than expenses to cut in order to achieve quarterly financial results.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more concerned with what customers and employees think than with what Wall St. analysts think.

I have been working at ACCO Brands

    Pros

Solid pay and solid benefits. Good product offering on the office products side. They source most of their direct product from overseas suppliers and do not manufacture much product at this point on the GBC direct side.

    Cons

Had a number of stock products on regular back order status frustrating the client base. They had a number of product issues for both service and sales that should have been an engineering fix. The organization could never solve QC issues. The company cut its outside sales force and has gone with a low cost inside team to lower the cost of sale.
