    I have been working at ACCO

    Pros

    - The company is 100% employee-owned as an ESOP.
    - The company started over 75 years ago, so it is a stable company.
    - If you are a mechanical engineer looking for a company where you can learn and grow, this would be the company to consider
    - Employees stay at ACCO a long time. There is a manager in Glendale who has worked at ACCO for over 50 years!

    Cons

    - The company makes changes, but it can take time and some people are resists change
    - Because people stay a long time, and a lot of the offices are smaller, sometimes the chance to move up takes a lot longer than some would like

    slow to implement change - always done it this way attitude
    mediocrity is acceptable
    poor communication
    some negative and grumbling employees

    remove barriers between management and hourly staff. honest communication about challenges, plans, and future actions. create a serious and functioning employee growth plan in order to promote from within and more employees to other areas. hire top notch individuals.
