Great part time job

I worked at ACTS

Pros

Good hours while you are in school or college. It's fun getting to know the residents. They let you make your own schedule where I worked, and they offered scholarships for students when I was there. I got to meet lots of different people. They treat their employees well.

Cons

The pay could've been better, but it was ok for me.

Coworkers can be fun to work with.
    Reliable pay.
Interacting with the residents can be fun.

    Cons

    Terrible management.
Interacting with the residents can be stressful and frustrating.
There seems to be an image that this job is the greatest job in the world, in the eyes of management.
    No room for growth.
Bias from management toward different workers.
No matter how hard you work, even doing multiple peoples work, it means nothing unless you are a favorite.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Evaluate management more often by allowing anonymous employee reviews.
Evaluate the effective use of budget from management. (Being constantly under budget isn't necessarily a good thing if it hurts the quality of the output.)
Take suggestions of employees for improvements or ideas to better the individual communities.
Put more career development opportunities in place.
There needs to be more reward, or recognition, for employees who have been with the company for long term.
