    Pros

Great Training Program. Opportunities to grow within the company if you are willing to relocate. Looks great on a resume and opens up a ton of doors.

    Cons

80% travel required. Pay is lower than competitors for sales professionals. T/heir non compete policy will lock you into looking for a completely different industry should you decide to leave. Problem is they sell such a vast amount of products to the industries they work in that your expertise in that area cannot be used in your next job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I was part of a corporate buy out and after the migration of the sales team there was a mass exodus. Almost every single sales associate was looking for a new position and the handling of stock and options was not optimal and did not incentivize people to stay. Work on ways to keep the long term employees when a buyout is in place. I may have stayed had their not been so much confusion but was definitely taking a step back in both pay (roughly 20%) and position.

    Pros

    Very stable
    Average salary
    Many opportunities for growth
    Decent benefits
    Overtime opportunities

    Cons

    Weak management
Rigid employment guidelines reward tenure while discouraging innovation
    Poor corporate communication from management
Silos of accountability discourage interdepartmental cooperation
Long hours required of employees to reach corporate objectives

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None. ADP is a well oiled machine that does exactly what it means to do: generate value for stockholders. Employees are cattle and are often treated as such. This is less the fault of management and more the result of the culture of the organization.
