I have been working at ADP full-time for more than a year

Pros

Salary and benefits are good, CEO is new and hopefully can drive some process improvements as well as culture change.

Cons

No standardization, no good process flow or procedures in primarily the smaller subsidiaries of ADP (i.e. - Dealer Services parent and children). There's tons of data but most do not have access to the data and those who do don't know what all of it means. DATA needs to be supplied or access to it in order to run the business efficiently. Due to the paranoia over individual access to confidential information and competitive issues, management does not share critical data and information freely. R&D is stretched with more than it can handle and india is not efficient in moving along projects. Job skills of current talent and their dedication of company initiatives is lacking.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve communications across business lines. TRUST your managers with confidential DATA and embrace new ideas to run the business from "outside in" perspective. Shake it up ! Many long term associates are too comfortable in their jobs and think management reports to them instead of the other way around. Management spends more time micromanaging employees than running the business due to all the administrative demands that are required. Most employees would rather run to HR than talk to their manager due to the culture. "Change Management" is a term used in approach to transitioning individuals, teams, and organizations to a desired future state. My best advise, focus on this transition to bring the company to the next level.

I have been working at ADP full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great medical, 401K match, stock discounts and a pension

    Cons

pay isn't competitive with big 4 as much as some divisions try to be. tools provided (machines, software, etc) are all sub-par so you have to work with what you have and make due sometimes. Slow progression, not defined like big 4 because in some divisions your job can change daily.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

none really... it all depends on the specific department you're in. Overall lower-end communication could be better. Higher ups send out emails and videos, but you only really get exposure to just your manager, I wish there were more chances to talk to others so when opportunities internally come up maybe better fits can be placed.

I have been working at ADP

    Pros

Solid business plans, enduring HCM industry presence

    Cons

Personal relationships are way too important for success, too much focus on growth via acquisitions and too little on true organic growth.
