Former Employee - Small Businesses Services Representative in Richmond, VA

I worked at ADP full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    -Exceptional training program
-Sales channels to increase leads (bank relationships partner accountants etc)
-Autonomy and flexibility---hardly ever have to be in the office
-Excellent line item on resume great for becoming marketable in future roles

    Cons

    -Extremely high turnover
-Unrealistic quotas (depending on your territory and channels)
-Unsustainable activity metrics and low product price mean salespeople must close a large number of different deals to make any money
-Boring product that is hard to get excited about (and naturally confusing to potential clients)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None--seems to be working for them so far.

Business model is based on overworking recent grads out to prove themselves in exchange for a good sales resume...which it does provide.

Not a bad deal as long as you know what your getting into.
