I worked at ADP full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Strong training, immediate success opportunity (you don't need to be senior-level or experienced really at all to make money), consistent promotions and incentives, fun atmosphere and colleagues, weekly recogntion, strong product/branding/technology, fun trips if you do well

Cons

dealing with flakey small business owners, your manager doesn't sell so they sometimes micromanage you, you reach an income cieling cap even though commission is uncapped simply because there is not enough time in the day - is about 95k consistently

Advice to ManagementAdvice

focus on partnerships rather than cold calling

I have been working at ADP full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

ADP is a solid company that will be around a long time.

    Cons

Politics. Plain and simple kissing ass is the most valued attribute at ADP. Flatter your manager or better yet his manager and you can be assured of a rapid rise through the ranks, regardless of all else. Accountability is unheard of. Most common tactic: promise the sky, then move to a different project before you promises fail to pan out.
Beware, ADP is the #1 provider of outsourced HR in the US. As a result they know every little trick to keeping payrolls and benefits down.

Buy a dictionary and look up the word "merit." I don't think it means what you think it means.

    Pros

ADP provides great flexibility, cares about their people, and compensates fairly.

    Cons

Career development is slow here; people are in their roles for a long time. Benefits are average. There seems to be a lot of talk of new initiatives with little action behind it.
