Strong place in industry - likely to be the buyer of companies, not the buyee

Cons

No real career growth - once you are good in a role good luck trying to get out of it and into something better
MAJOR "GOOD 'OL BOYS" NETWORK. Some managers walk on water in the company's eyes, could probably set the building on fire and never be reprimanded, especially long-time managers who consistently get away with murder. They know it and act accordingly.
Constant shifting of managers. Don't get too comfortable with any boss.

Advice to Senior Management

I doubt they would listen (see "good 'ol boys" comment above) but you have great employees leaving due to the endless bureaucracy and nepotism there. Try actually getting the most out of people with potential even if they are not related to one of the big bosses. You just might be pleasantly surprised.
