    Pros

    Good company name helps get your foot in the door

    Prices are too high. There is a fragmented local management structure and little support or product training. Company appointments were few and unqualified.

    Advice to Management

    Short training trip was great but no in office support stunk.

    Pros

    If you can live on straight commission and put up with weekly "rah rah" sales meetings to train you on how to overcome customer objections to purchase; it pays ok. We could offer a "FREE" security system for a promise of (at that time) a 5 year contract for ADT monitoring service.

    Cons

    Several "rah rah" sales meetings weekly. The service is about the monthly monitoring fees. The monitoring service seemed to be just like all the other companies. The "Security" is only as good as the feeling the customer perceives. IMO, police will come out when they are good and ready; depending on what they feel the urgency is and the typical calls in the neighborhood. The service generally depended on telephone wires to make the calls to authorities. (like most others)

    Advice to Management

    There is not a real great solution to employee compensation for a service niche that depends on the response of local authorities. The "value" of sales rep is the number of dollars per month generated for the monitoring service. It's just a sales job. Authorities are not obligated to respond promptly if they feel "security systems" and monitoring services generate false alarms.
