I worked at ADT Security Services as a contractor (less than a year)

Pros

a great environment to work in family oriented environment the willingness of 39 to embrace new employees were wonderful.

Cons

there are limited for time position but multiple contract and temporary position.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

continue to market and sell so that you may expand the organization to offer more full time position.

    I have been working at ADT Security Services full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Most of the employees are really great people that would be willing to help you out if they like you. The compensation is good if you make a lot sales. Fair expectations with sales goals. Good benefits. Leads given by the company. Flexibility is the best ever.

    Cons

    Management, operations, and overall structure of the company is unorganized and unsupportive almost all of the time. Commission structure is severely flawed and only benefits the company and not its employees. Company day-to-day expectations are unrealistic and you are expected to work six days a week and if necessary seven days if month is a slow sales month. You are expected to give your personal phone number and be ready to answer any client calling you at any given moment of the day or night. There is no residual payment for the recurring service that you are providing. Your gasoline reimbursement that they promise is a mileage reimbursement of somewhere under 17 cents a gallon. Your expenses reimbursements cap at $99 a month which is well under what you will be spending for the company. Company issued attire must be bought or "earned" with sales. No one-on-one training on product, services and best practices other than a weekend in an out of state training seminar. Every customer is just a number to the company as are their employees.

    Pros

    Good money, management always there for you whether you want them to be or not

    Cons

    6 day work week, long nights sometimes (but that goes with in-home sales), being held accountable for customers no-showing for appointments, being taken out of Telemar and not getting appointments even though your self generated sales are higher than office average, lots of competition from dealers that "give away" systems
