Pros

Casual, flexible, benefits appear ok, cooworkers are nice, not overworked

Cons

Too many vp's and their salaries. Over head structure is backwards. They have cut so many IT folks that the few left can't get things done.

In Denver, CO office, manage, ent sent an e-mail to most of the office stating that there will more layoffs in next 2 weeks -just do it already!!

    Pros

Management is so top secret even they don't know what they are doing!

    Cons

Everything. No direction, no vision, no collaboration. conglomerate of smaller companies with no incentive to work as a single company. Company is much more interested in competing with themselves than with competitors. Claims of ethics, management, technical competence and client focus are more absurd than the name of the company that means noting to anyone. Business buys other companies, destroys their backlog and fires the competent acquisition acquired talent.

    Advice to Management

I would share advice if I thought they could read anything other than their own PR. Incompetence is preferred, political decisions always trump logical ones and the more time you give trying to do what is right as opposed to what is expedient and provides insulation to "leaders" the more disappointed you will become. Some of the best talent has left either on their own or has been dismissed because they dared to try to make things more effective for staff, clients and the bottom line. How dare they!

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    Office of smart, hard-working employees
    Flexible schedule
Pays for public transit and close to transit
    Good benefits
Fun office culture if you want to get involved
    Environmentally conscious

    Cons

Reactionary management: Style of hiring and firing in reaction to quarterly numbers
Decisions made by nameless people three tiers or more up from supervisors who actually know what you are worth
Low pay; very small raises; sometimes no bonuses
"Billing hours" creates stressful culture when work is less than typical
Managers don't seem to know what they are doing: trained scientists, not managers

    Advice to Management

Don't react strictly to financial numbers; realize that training a new employee costs more than keeping a current one
Allow in-house supervisors much more say in who stays and who goes
Pay more to reflect city and industry trends
