Pros

Smart people around. Company grows through M&A, so a lot of opportunities to show your impact.

Cons

No standardized processes; not well organized.

Advice to Management

Look at retention ratios and this may tell sth as how to improve management

    Pros

big company brand, nice working environment.

    Cons

Watch out management trying put project risks on you. Bad resource planning and management. Small circle formed within the team if you are not the mate. High pressure on utilisation requirement but there is no work. People who have no work got to stay as they are mates of the boss. High utilised people got the axed. Bosses hired mates using 457K visa while local engineers have no work to fill timesheets at the same time. They fired staffs they dont like first, not contractors and people on 457 visa. Project managers hide budgets for themselves to book and cap the hours engineers can book. Gutless senior management trying to avoid troubles by putting project risks to the project team then call it "deligate of authority".

    Advice to Management

Go utilised your resource well before hiring your mates in. I have never seen a company keep hiring people while there is not enough workload.

    Pros

Mmm? ...There are some talented and pleasant people who work here. However, they are not encouraged to be kind or to express their talent freely. Nor are they rewarded for their talents or dedication. They will likely be ushered out the door shortly.

    Cons

There are so many... - this is an uncoordinated mess without ethical behaviour - while of course the company has to make money, this one does so by overworking employees to the point of exhaustion, with no commendation or rewards for key contributors. - finances, policies, health & safety, inter-office relations are in shambles - this is a company that treats its employees as a disposable commodity. - AECOM is essentially a broker of people. It's a sweat shop. If you can handle that sort if arrangement you would do much better for yourself to consult on your own. AECOM will not do anything for you.

    Advice to Management

A complete over haul is in order. Engage management personnel who care for people AND the bottom line. Yes, such organisations do prosper. AECOM - hang your head in shame and try to salvage your game.
