I worked at AECOM full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Decent benefits Decent pay Publicly traded company

Cons

They bought up a lot of companies and brought in a lot of people then let people go left and right. Not the nicest office work place aesthetically but have heard since this has changed (dull office space and no color copier or scanner, started monitoring your printing and made you charge to a job for printing even a single page) Much of management lacked basic courteous social skills

Advice to Management

Talk to your staff Particularly for upper management --> Get to know your employees names Don't announce people's names on the PA system when you are calling them into your office to let them go

I have been working at AECOM full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A few bright people depending on the group; and it's just a paycheck.

    Cons

Don't exactly know where to start. This place is disorganized and functions like a mom pop shop in an area away from civilization. Many managers and non-managers are unbelievably incompetent and exhibit unprofessional corporate behavior. Don't think about lodging any concerns to HR because that falls on deaf ears and everyone goes along to get along. Some groups discourage using your brain and prefer if you "dumb down" your intelligence. Turnover rate in every form (layoff, resignation/quit, fire) is super high at all levels. Very unusual organization so you should really think hard before joining.

    Advice to Management

You all need to retire because you are all disconnected with reality and what is going on within the company or you all simply just don't care
