I worked at AECOM full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Nice local staff that are real people trying to take care of their families.

    Cons

The ship is sinking. Those loyal to stay thru all the layoffs are not rewarded, only punished with more beauracracies and cost cutting measures. They never stop. Cut after cut, year after year. One bad week of utilization are you are toast. No they don't look at say a years utilization, they look week to week. They hire worthless district managers that don't generate an ounce of work, only lay people off. There is no future for Aecom and it is starting to collapse from its own weight.

    Advice to Management

The company is bloated and is beginning to collapse. They have fired the good workers. All that's left are the bloodsuckers. What goes around comes around.

I have been working at AECOM full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

flexible work schedule available, good projects

    Cons

old school. a lot of detached people in management who really don't understand what it's like to actually do the work. not many opportunities for younger people. they're idea of next gen is 50 something.

    Advice to Management

be open to a new generation of ideas
