Former Employee - Engineer in Washington, DC

I worked at AECOM full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

It's a Good Company when there is work to be done. Since the economy dropped off so has the work. The insurance is fairly good and they have 401k for what it's worth.

    Cons

Here's the bad new. 1. Like I said, if there is work to be done it good. The work share is a joke, prepare to start looking for another job. 2. Don't ever question your manager. HR is a joke about personnel issues. 3. If you are being harass or threaten by your supervisor, start looking for other work. Again HR is a joke. File a complaint against management and expect to be "laid-off". Don't rock the boat even if you are in the right and have proof it or HR will sweep you under the rug and out the door.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just quit promoting the Values of TEAM. Come clean and just keep it honest. "You're lucky you're working here" attitude is better.

Current Employee - Transportation Engineer in New York, NY
Current Employee - Transportation Engineer in New York, NY

I have been working at AECOM full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Free high end coffee, though I hear that will end soon due to cost reductions mandated by corporate.

    Cons

Losing many proposals due to eroding reputation. Former disgruntled employees now work for competition as well as clients, makes winning work very difficult. Not sure how the head of the company is a former KPMG accountant with zero experience with engineering, perhaps corp. is preparing to sell.....hopefully to a company with management that knows what they are doing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get lost, reconstitute the BOD before this company is completely run into the ground.
