Provide resume reviews, mock interviews, intern meetings occasionally
Gourmet-like free lunch for interns everyday! (Free breakfast as well -- bagels, special K cereals, naked juice, chobani, fresh fruits etc)

    I worked at AEI full-time

    Pros

Good vacation time, management leaves you alone most of the time to do your work

    Cons

Dysfunctional company with 1960s mentality. Still use typewriters and word perfect. Only recently bought a scanner for one of their employees. Top two managers are in competition with each other to run the company, and all innovative ideas get quickly squashed by arrogance. Company is moving backwards, not forwards. Extremely dry sponge in need of any drop of water.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

not even worth it, they won't listen anyway.

I worked at AEI as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Great people, great opportunities. AEI is an excellent place for policy, economics, and some social interests. Of all the think tanks in DC, it's the least political and dorky.

    Cons

Low comp. There's no reason to work here just for the pay. Pay will be extremely low, but you wouldn't take this job for that. It's to meet great people and work on ideas that make a difference.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    keep up the great work
