    Pros

Strong emphasis on safety and values. Compensation good.

    Cons

In spite of emphasis on values, subcultures are poor. Contributions aren't valued unless you are politically connected.

    Advice to Management

Dive deeper into the organization, be honest and open with employees, understand your subcultures.

    Pros

Compensation can be above industry standards and benefits are good.

    Cons

Frequent reorganization and management changes. AES does not see how disruptive it is to productivity and morale when the strategic direction of the company changes every 2-6 months. Deadlines are unrealistic and there are way too many layers of managers. Long hours, little recognition and discrimination of women is prevalent.

    Advice to Management

Pick ONE corporate culture and STICK with it for more than 6 months. Stop moving people around. It is impossible to meet business goals when there are 3-8 levels of management direction all competing for control.
