We refer to the years spent at AIG as "dog years" - multiple years of experience packed into each year.

I have been working at AIG

    Pros

The organization has flattened out quite a bit, allowing for autonomy and exposure to senior management. If you're vocal and immersed, you can create a fair amount of opportunity for yourself. In that sense, it can be a great fit for "on-the -job training."

    Cons

Lack of formal training and career development. Flawed performance management. Horrible vacation policy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Become more engaged with employees on every level in your respective units.
