Pros

There are many opportunities to experience many different situations and environments. You can really get a lot of variety of experience on the job if you look for it. Since there is so many products and businesses here, you often have the opportunity to work with people normally not in your field of interest. There is alot of good supporting departments such as research and other helpful internal departments to obain expert advise.

Cons

It is often a stressful environment. You usually face sink or swim situations. There is not a lot of mentoring. It is sometimes too big to make real relationships.

    Pros

Good entry point in start a career they are more often than not understandable that you are young. Some managers are tolerant of mistakes while others are not. Big company with many different groups. you if you don't like the industry you are in you can always change within the company. If you are lazy and not very bright its easy to get lost in the shuffle and you can continue to contribute minimal if not nothing to your job. It takes a long time to get fired with all the red tape it could take up to a year.

    Cons

Very low pay when compared to the industry.
    Terrible benefits.

    Pros

The benefits package is affordable and complete.

    Cons

Micro management. Everything you do with a customer must be scripted word for word else your quality scores suffer. Scripting is developed by management and they have never taken a customer call so cannot understand that how you word something with one customer does not mean that it will work with the next.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Why our office needs three managers is a mystery. They don't arrive on time, leave for extended lunches and depart before a full shift. When at work they simply congregate on the floor and talk or laugh about non work related topics to the point customers ask "are you having a party there?". So, advice... reduce management staff to one with an assistant for backup and dp something positive for those that keep you in a job. Lastly, stay of the floor unless you have something to contribute.
