I have been working at AIG full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Overall good working environment with inside and outside IT. Generally helpful attitude to get the job done, even when priorities are not lined up between the two groups. In process of revitalizing their technology stack, so you can be exposed to newer technologies and build systems from the ground up.

Cons

For last few years, in a constant state of change. Lots of pressure for increased profits and decreased costs. Changes in work and personnel mean increased workloads.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep driving for results, but minimize large shifts in priorities as there have been so many over the years.

I worked at AIG full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great campus. Good benefits and vacation policy. Very professional and corporate work environment. Free parking at Houston campus. Very intelligent and talented workforce.

    Cons

Commute - the campus is located on Allen Parkway and has limited connectivity by metro bus.
The HR department is manned by space cadets for the most part, full of contractors and interns who lack clarity of thought and have no authority to share information with candidates. The exit interview was a farce, they only wrote my employee number on a perforated notepad with comments saying keys returned, blackberry returned with charger. No questions asked, none answered.
