Pros

Aldi's pays well and promotions are available if you work hard. Benefits are nice. The work environment is pleasant. There is good, constant communication with management.

Cons

The work is back breaking. Almost every person I know who works for or has worked for aldi requires surgery due to the extensive physical work done. Whether its back issues, carpal tunnel; if you stay working there you are going to age your body well beyond its years.

    Current Employee - Shift Manager

    Pros

They pay very well but expect you to work very hard.

    Cons

-crazy work hours (leaving at 12pm to be back at 5am to open)
-unrealistic goals that try to match stores in district that are completly different
    -horrible inventory management procedures

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to be more personal and not so rude. Maybe work a shift once in awhile so that you have a better understanding of the store. An hour walk through doesn't show much.

    Pros

-pay ( but after all is said and done its not worth it)

    Cons

    - Disrespect from every level of management, I was in management and I couldn't treat people the way they wanted me to
    - unrealistic goals and expectations that going above and beyond means you still wont hit your goals, this causes a very negative atmosphere
-young district managers, some can be okay but some are naive and believe everything the company tells them regardless of how ridiculous
-even people in the highest positions will disrespect you and treat you like trash if you aren't living and breathing ALDI all the time
-the hours are long, if you get your store the way you want it, you can just work your 50 but upper management will pressure you to always be there
-overall great pay but you will burnout trying to prove yourself to the selfish, disrespectful and just rude upper management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit!!! so people more qualified can take over and turn this good concept into a successful happy business where people can love their work and feel appreciated for the time and effort they put in
