Pros

The pay was incredible for a cashier starting off the bat- $10 an hour! Plus our stores closed at 8 pm, so getting home at a decent hour was a plus.

Cons

Blech. The lines were awful, so the pressure they already put on you to be as speedy as possible (they're very adamant about this) easily increases. That was without a doubt my least favorite part of the job- the stress of going fast with constant large orders. You feel bad for those customers who only have 2 or 3 items and can't help wishing there were more cashiers available for them...

Advice to Senior Management

Get some self-checkout lanes like all the other grocery stores, please. I think this will keep the customers much happier and increase the flow of lines :).
