I have been working at AMD full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Some of the most talented co-workers, good collaboration.
    Great manager, flexible hours.
    Interesting work.

    Cons

    Slow advancement rate.
Strategy/planning that puts lots of pressure and unrealistic expectations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I'd rather we have less accomplishments but excel at what we commit to, rather than try to please everybody at the same time and end up not doing so well for everyone. Strategy, product, and resource planning needs to adapt to industry changes much quicker.

I have been working at AMD full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

It's great to work on challenging products with small team. Physical design side, there is vast array of scope to work on from RTL to GDS. There is custom work still left in few areas of core. Moving to new markets makes sense e.g. dense servers and custom products.

    Cons

Too much bureaucracy lately. Management was unaware what products to build on priority basis and what's best processes to build but it seems to be changing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look ahead of the market and judge best processes to execute on the plans.
