    Pros

Diversity of work. AMEC is active in many exciting world class engineering and construction projects.

The technical people are a great asset and are a joy to work with

    Cons

Big company with too much bureaucracy. The UK ownership is focused on processes that don't always fit the Consulting practice that AMEC E&I division operates in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut the red tape and delegate more authority to the folks that know how to get it done.

    Pros

    No micro-managing at this company.

    Cons

I find that this company and its executive management are not very good at managing existing large contracts and bringing in new work. I actually had to find my own work in other U.S. offices just to stay billable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in your staff and provide them with the tools - including career developing project work - to succeed.

    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
