Pigeon-holed without training or opportunity to advance.

    Pros

Opportunities to travel, experience interesting projects; strong sense of being part of a team within the office and group. Good benefit package. Support of continued professional development and certifications.

    Cons

Once hired, there is little variation in daily work; managers and direct supervisors reluctant to provide guidance or support to employees, making self improvement and advancement difficult. Salaries are well below average, and company profit is the primary concern. Annual employee satisfaction reviews are unsupported by any real, changing actions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Employee satisfaction should be higher priority - smaller incentives still allow staff to feel valued & engaged. Accomplishments should be recognized more often, and salaries should reflect hard work and improvement over the year. Training should be much more rigorous, not the minimum - staff should feel comfortable with their ability before taking on the responsibilities, rather than consistently falling short of elevated expectations.

    Pros

Pleasant work environment, fair benefits, average compensation

    Cons

Regional directives does not encourage knowledge sharing; rather it forces offices to compete with one another. Align business units and goals are endless.

Eliminate the "duds" and acknowledge those that go above and beyond!
