I worked at AMEC as an intern for more than a year

Pros – Knowledgeable co-workers, great equipment (i.e. Geophysical, mapping software, hand-helds) and they have paid internships. Incentives are in place for full time workers, per Diem and hotel fair is included when in the field. The rates vary by state, but the amount is usually $30 to $40 a day.

Cons – You can get a few odd balls on a field crew, and everyone shares a hotel room.

Advice to Senior Management – None, they are motivating and well qualified in my experience.
