Pros

Fair competitive salary, very good benefits package, provides adequate training for staff to promote within the company, flexible schedules for the most part

Cons

constant changes implemented by corporate that don't always work, sets some unobtainable budget goals and the company likes to micro manage a lot

Advice to Management

Treat your employees like more than just a figure on the payroll. Encourage your leaders to use positive reinforcement to show employee appreciation.

Top down failure. Do not be sold on the "always means fun" idea

    Pros

    Only 40-45 hours a week

    Cons

Freeze on merit increase during my entire tenure (5 yrs). There was one market increase of 3% but that is really a 1% raise for 3 years, which would be what one would get if they were a low performer. Lack of frequent, accurate information about company initiatives. Facilities very poorly maintained. Middle management notified of major structural issues with no follow through from the top. Almost impossible to terminate poor employees. Pointless conference calls for things like the eclub. Managers pay for shift meals.

    Advice to Management

Liquidate all company assets to pay off debt after restructuring. This is a doomed business.

    Pros

Flexible hours, will work with your schedule . Benefits, They have paid time off, Medical, Dental, and 401K matching.

    Cons

Low pay, and the particular center I worked at REALLY needs to be updated.. it is older and run down, carpet needs replacing, Definitely needs a face lift.. WAY too much paperwork at the end of a shift..

    Advice to Management

Higher pay will stop your employees from leaving for other opportunities, or even seeking other opportunities in most cases.. Less paperwork would also be beneficial.
