A teacher assistant position was great, but not well paid for.

Former Employee - Teacher Assistant in Alexandria (Egypt)
Former Employee - Teacher Assistant in Alexandria (Egypt)

I worked at AMIDEAST part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Rewarding teaching experience since student age can be quite challenging. You get to have a say on teaching material and lesson plans and you are responsible for making sure the student's experience is functional and smooth.

    Cons

Education was very US-centric and did not encourage a more global outlook neither did it foster critical thinking.

    Doesn't Recommend
