Pros

Financial Compensation, relocation Package, diverse work force (met a lot of interesting people from different countries)

Cons

Too many silos, lack of trust between departments, "inner circle" people very difficult to interact with. They are allowed to rule the roost and do whatever they want with no consequences. The fab is old fashioned and there is a lot of manual activity. Needs to be upgraded and fitted with more automation. Poor production methods and less focus on quality. Fab engineers "unionized" against management.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Build consensus and team spirit within the company. Do not allow a few individuals to wield too much power. Stabilize middle and senior management instead of making "walking managers out" a fashion! Bring HR managers who actually understand technology.

    Pros

    Good atmosphere for learning the technology and making significant contributions. The people are good to work with.

    Cons

    Lack of ability to consistently design for profitability.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Career development of the employees is not high enough priority. When the company finances began getting worse, all performance reviews were cancelled and career growth became non-existent. Career growth could and should have been decoupled from the ability to offer bonuses or raises.
