I worked at AOL full-time (more than a year)

Pros

The company is a great place to learn a lot in a short amount of time. The pace is extremely fast and will help you advance in your career very quickly.

Cons

The company is not a longterm career choice. It is constantly going through restructuring and eliminating roles which leads to a heavy turnover rate.

I worked at AOL as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

AOL still has good people with years of expertise, and they are reshaping to work on new technologies that are more fun.

    Cons

Perception of the company is still a bit poor, and it's a little weird when people ask if AOL is 'still around'. Internal infrastructure seems to be a bit outdated as well but that's improving. It's not a sure thing that they'll still be around in 5 years, so it's not the safest place to 'build a career'.
