I worked at APX Alarm
Pros – Generally you only work full time 4 months out of the year with with some time during the other 8 months. Some of the managers care but many are just there to collect a paycheck. Great for students needing to pay for school.
Cons – The pay was good but each year they continue to figure out ways to cut pay across many positions. There is an attitude of if you don't like something then leave. Most employees that have been there for awhile are only concerned about their own hides and saving their own positions. Do not think you will advance there because most people have been there since it started and have no other skills so they aren't leaving.
Advice to Senior Management – When you say "if you don't like it here then leave" because you know the economy is bad then something is wrong. Keep people because they are talented and not because they kiss your a** and have been there for years. You might be pleasing your investors but stabbing your own employees in the back will lead to your demise.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
