I worked at ARAMARK full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Decent wages, pretty helpful co-workers, decent benefits

Cons

Hours very unpredictable, high pressure to complete route (I was substitute driver), management did not seem to be open to suggestions, at times very long hours, permanent route may or may not be available, movement within company pretty limited

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to suggestions from employees, allow talented employees opportunities to move around organization, reward employees for hard work

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This is a good place for collegegrads to start their field. My old manager did 5 YRS and now runs the northeast for a major food brand.

Former Employee - Food and Beverage Intern in Columbus, OH

I worked at ARAMARK as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Good people to work with at the base level. Very standardized company that has many different areas you can get into.

    Cons

To many hoops to jump through to do anything. Higher up managers who visited the property seemed uninterested in meeting anyone and were generally negative. Did not do a very good with ensuring all interns had what they needed to succeed and were doing meaningful things.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a better intern program where all the interns feel like they have a good experience. Listen to your employees they see the business every day. Listen to your customers they are who you are serving.
