Your work schedule depends upon the operation. If the operation is only opened for breakfast & lunch M-F, then you benefit from being a food service manager having evenings, weekends & holidays off.
Cons
Technology seems behind the times, lack of Window based systems, POS, detailed reports, lot of manual work and duplication of effort.
Advice to Senior Management
Other companies try to locate managers closer to their home so they don't have such long drives on top of long work schedules.
