Pros

Excellent compensation and benefits package.

    I worked at ARRIS full-time

    Pros

If you like large, multi-faceted, highly structured telecomunications equipment and software solutions provider environments this is a good one. They have great products and really strive to solve the customers (cable and telco service providers) problems. The middle forces are very hard working and really put a best foot forward. Big emphasis on culture and values in the beginning.

    Cons

places excessive emphasis on SFDC sometimes at the expense of actual face to face time with customers. It is a great CRM tool , but can be exhaustive depending on your accounts structure. Management says they will help in any way, but that is not always the case. There are not enough sales engineers to handle the multitude of products and some SE's are siloed in only a few technical verticals. They have some fantastic people but the higher up the latter , the atmosphere gets thin. The emphasis on culture and values seems more of a facade.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If execution to deliverying solutions is the mantra, then let the sales people do their thing. There seems to be so much emphasis on virtual internal meetings that is can consume the daily customer interfacing needed in this environment.
