I have been working at ARRIS full-time for more than 8 years

Pros

Potentially could get you some interesting engineering work

Cons

Not a very nimble company, and not very entrepreneurial. Laid off a bunch of very good design teams, and terminated very good projects because they had duplication, instead of leveraging the talent for new exciting projects.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

You could have done much better with all the good people you had. You disappointed many, by looking at short term bottom line rather than on long term growth.

Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Large diverse company, business units offer different business models and different market segments.

    Cons

Company is in flux due to large acquisition, jobs are uncertain right now.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Really analyze the talent pool rather than cutting jobs based on position.

I have been working at ARRIS full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

With the 2013 merger with Motorola Home, company size has more than doubled. Should be a big player moving forward

    Cons

Large merger will eliminate people, sites, and products. Customers may move to other solutions if sales and marketing don't come up big.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure that all of the new structures of the company are working as intended. Merging operations of this size can lead to things falling through the cracks.
