I worked at ASPCA full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

salaries are good benefits are excellent 401K, though not a pension, has a good contribution & match remote employment opportunities for some departments

    Cons

politics, politics, politics directionless CEO stagnant board HR is a joke Literally head scratching how some people are in senior roles closed door policy from top down questionable practices, ie-Oreo, Feld Ent., NYCLASS, elite horse show sponsorships

    Advice to Management

listen to your staff, not just lip service. stop all the secrecy. Be open to suggestions, stop with the ridiculous "anonymous" surveys and then punishing for being honest. Be humane, be kind.
