Pros

Well known company with good benefits and decent salary in a growing industry. Safe.

Cons

Limited compensation with fluctuating goals and expectations. At risk compensation can be manipulated by senior mgmt. Easy to "float along".

    I worked at AT&T full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits and vacation. Two raises per year (roughly .50 a piece). Usually a flexible schedule.

    Cons

There is no promotion outside of the "corporate ladder". If you want to be in corporate, and are already with the company, you must first be a sales rep, then asst store manager then store manager then you can have a shot at corporate. I found myself applying for jobs I was more than qualified for yet being rejected because I did not want to move up within the retail sector. Seems to be much easier if you are not with the company to get into corporate. Constantly changing policies for the greater good of the company, not the employee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't treat the reps as though they are disposable at anytime. Hire more educated reps and stop it with the completely unrealistic sales goals.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow up and decide if you are going to provide great service or just want employees to hit sales numbers.
