I worked at AT&T full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Lots of positions available if you want to make a lateral or upward move. They take chances on people and want them to excel. At least that was my experience, perhaps I was lucky. :)

Cons

Big company, lots of annoying paperwork and processes that you will find in big companies. Har to get things done as technical resources are committed to projects nearly years in advance.

I have been working at AT&T full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The benefits are incredible and start as soon as your hired. The starting pay is quite adequate and increases are as they say.

    Cons

The work schedule could use a bit of tweaking.....I.E., install and repair scheduling, not so many per day unless they have the personnel to cover it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would do management a lot of good to do the job of Prem. Tech. for a week or so to see how unrealistic the job expectations are....length of time alotted per job is the biggest concern as you never know from one job to the next what you'll be up against. Personally, i love working with people when i do installs and repairs and find it very rewarding when i do the job beyond the customers expectations, even if it means taking another hour to do it as it should done and answer all questions the customer may have.
