Pros

Stable enough, layoffs happen, but mostly yo contractors.

Cons

Team located all over the country, it's nice except you can work for/with someone for years and have no clue what they look like.

Current Employee - Assistant Store Manager in New York, NY

I have been working at AT&T full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is pretty good. There is nothing else in NYC

    Cons

Terrible management in NYC Area. (referring to all titles above store manager). Directors Ignore the concerns of employees and Store managers. ARSM feel the pressure and cant handle it so they pass it down the chain in an inappropriate manner. Some ARSM are good others are terrible and lack experience dealing with ppl. Example, Cursing, confronting managers in front of peers, yelling on conference calls (lets specify) yelling at specific managers while other managers are on Conference calls, Calling managers out in front of reps. ect (Witnessed all of these things within 6 months) Long hours, NO WORK LIFE BALANCE is an understatement. This is not somewhere you want to be if you have friends, family, kids, or a life of any sort. Benefits for management isnt bad. Its one thing to be overly demanding organization but its another thing to be overly demanding and then to treat your managers like crap. There is a reason they always have management positions open. This is NY and they dont even have that many stores (compared to other carriers). They will continue to lose good people. If you are looking to make some money fast and arent looking for the long term then you will be ok. With the current leaders in NYC this is NOT a career. This is not somewhere you want to be if you have friends, family, kids, or a life of any sort.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a clue. Any Store management that knows what they are doing, really has talent and has self worth will be able to find something else.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
  2.

This company is more about the stock price and executive bonus payouts than the network or customer service.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The company still has a robust telecommunications network.

    Cons

The network has been falling into disrepair for the last 10 years due to a lack of infrastructure repair or replacement and a lack of technicians.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is the network stupid. No technicians, No NETWORK!!

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
