Pros

Great leadership and mentorship experience, relaxed atmosphere. Good benefits/perks. Has a program for hiring military vets. Good exit opportunities, if it ever comes to that.

Cons

As the phone company, they are very tight with security. Many strict access protocols, network verification procedures, etc. Not really a con, but something to consider. Their HR process is inefficient, like many large companies. Also could benefit from more diversity (age, background, etc.). But they are trying to improve this.

Advice to Management

AT&T Corporate could probably benefit from hiring more entry level employees for their technical contributions.

    Pros

Good place to build experience in sales and management. Decent training provided. Good product line to work with and competitiive plans.

    Cons

Retail hours including nights and weekends. Not much you can to as far as chargebacks or improving network performance. Drama with entry level salespeople.

    Advice to Management

Hire managers who are great with thier people.

  2. each time there was a behavior that at&t wanted included, they would change the job as to significantly impede workers

    Pros

great benefits, to include discounts for services and wireless phone at no charge. great training in the beginning but starting to slip as they move more toward telemarketing their products instead of customer service which was the drive in 2008-2009.

    Cons

there where some radical changes to call flow and the focus of the call center changed to selling instead of servicing the customer. reps were continually trying to achieve the goals the company set as standard just to find that they changed completing from on day to the next.

    Advice to Management

take stock in the folks that you have keeping customers from getting finally fed up. there are more fish in the sea at&t and your lawsuit winning average is taking a dive.
